Lesson 2: Stroke Techniques
Before we learn about the different types of strokes used in a badminton game, we must first look at the correct way to hold the racket. The easiest of them all is probably the forhand grip, as shown in the diagram below.
Ideally, from the side view of the badminton court, the shuttlecock should travel via the following path when you hit an underhand shot. An Underhand Trajectory:

Lesson 1: Introduction to Badminton
Dear students, the following are some information, diagrams and animations for you to try out with regards to this morning's P.E. lesson. Do spend some time to read and understand them as they would help you broaden your knowledge and deepen your understanding on badminton so that you would be able to follow up as the lesson progresses. Basic Rules:
- Server and receiver always start at the right side of their service court at the beginning of the game, diagonally opposite each other
- The shuttle must be hit below waist height with racket head lower than the server's hand.
- Server must have part of both feet stationary in contact with the ground.
- Receiver can only move after the service is struck.
